About the Doctor
Jeff Phillips, DDS, MS completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Minnesota, with high distinction. Continuing at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Phillips completed two years of specialty training in orthodontics and received his Master of Science degree. He has been practicing orthodontics in the Madison area since 1994.
Dr. Phillips is a Board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He holds membership with the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. He is also a member of the Dane County Dental Society. Dr. Phillips has been selected as one of Madison Magazine’s “Top Dentists”, and has been featured in the Madison newspaper.

It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs, such as accepting payments through cash, checks, and Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards. We also offer a variety of low-and no-interest payment options with a 25% down payment. Even better, we offer discounts for treatments paid for in full at the start of treatment, and for multiple family members undergoing treatment at the same time. Ask us if you have any questions about financing or payment, and we will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs.
Insurance
We accept many insurance plans; we are even a preferred provider for Physicians Plus and ADP. If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Remember that insurance policies vary, and we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims for you.
Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
First Visit
We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. We understand that each patient's orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve. Your first visit will consist of an examination and discussion of potential treatment options. This important visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if this is the proper time to begin treatment.
After we have evaluated your records, we conduct a consultation to explain all aspects of your treatment in detail. We will provide a complete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the problem, a written summary of the findings and a detailed plan that outlines your treatment, goals and estimated fees. We encourage input from both the patient and the parent, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions.
About Our Office
Come to see our newly remodeled Madison office. This state-of-the-art facility features the latest advancements in orthodontic care, such as digital panoramic X-ray equipment. The reception room features comfortable seating in the television viewing area and a café offering free beverages. We created a separate “quiet area” for patients to read or catch up on work while they wait, and established a fun and interactive game room, featuring a Nintendo Wii, Playstation® 2 and Playstation® 3 game systems. Of course, parents are welcome to join their children in the operatory during appointments.
